Lieutenant General Reynolds was commissioned in May 1986 upon graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy and assigned as a Communications Officer. As a Company grade officer, she served in various billets at 1st Marine Division Communications Company, Marine Wing Communication Squadron 18 in Okinawa, Marine Corps Systems Command, and 9th Communication Battalion, I MEF. As a Field Grade officer, she was selected to command
Recruiting Station Harrisburg PA and then served as an Action Officer and Division Head at HQMC C4. She was selected to command 9th Communication Battalion in 2003 and deployed the battalion to Fallujah Iraq in support of I MEF during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. She was
subsequently assigned to duty with the Joint Staff J6 in Washington DC where she was an Action Officer and Division Head. Col Reynolds assumed command of 1 MEF Headquarters Group in 2009 and deployed the Group to Helmand Province Afghanistan in support of I MEF and RC Southwest during Operation Enduring Freedom.
As a General Officer, she commanded Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island/Eastern Recruiting Region from 2011-2014, was the Principal Deputy to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense South and Southeast Asia in OSD Policy from 2014-2015 and commanded Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command from 2015-2018. LtGen Reynolds has commanded at every rank.
Her professional military education includes The Basic School, the Basic Communication Officer’s Course, Command and Control Systems Course, the Naval War College and the Army War College. She has earned Masters Degrees from both the Naval War College and the Army War College.
Her personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (with gold star), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with gold star).

Barbara M. Barrett is the 25th Secretary of the Air Force and leads the affairs of the Department of the Air Force, comprised of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. She is responsible for organizing, training, equipping and providing for the welfare of 685,000 active duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian Airmen and their families. She oversees the department’s annual budget of more than $205 billion. As Secretary, she directs strategy and policy development, risk management, weapons acquisition, technology investments and human resource management across the global enterprise. As the department’s senior leader, Secretary Barrett implements decisions of the President, Congress and fulfills Combatant Commanders’ operational requirements.
Secretary Barrett has served in senior leadership positions in public service, the private sector and academia. Before she was 30, she was an executive with two global Fortune 500 companies. Secretary Barrett’s key leadership roles include her time as the U.S. Ambassador to Finland, Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration and President of the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She also taught leadership as a Harvard Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government. Prior to assuming her current position, Secretary Barrett was the Chairman of the Board for the Aerospace Corporation.
She has served as a board member for multiple organizations focused on diplomacy, defense, aeronautics, science and space. She was a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, a member of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services, the Defense Business Board and the U.S.–Afghan Women's Council. She has chaired groups that include the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy, the U.S. Commerce Secretary’s biennial Export Conference and the U.S. Department of State’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Working Group.
She is an instrument-rated pilot and was trained and certified for space flight. Additionally, she has been a cattle and bison rancher for close to three decades.

Elisabeth S. Auld is serving as host and chair of the 2020 Officer Women Leadership Symposium and has been involved in AcademyWomen activities for many years. She is currently employed by SAIC as a project manager for the Federal Aviation Administration and as an Adjunct Professor for the Naval War College. An Air Force veteran, Elisabeth retired as a Colonel in 2014, completing her career assigned as Director of Staff, Air Force Public Affairs, where she led a staff of six and directed the administrative, fiscal, security and personnel activities for a 185-person organization. Prior to this, she was assigned as the Deputy Director, Bases, Ranges, and Airspace, and the Airfield Operations Officer Career Field manager. Before her assignment to the Pentagon, she was honored to command the 506th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron at Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq. Prior to her deployment, she served as Director of Operations for the 316th Operations Support Squadron at Andrews AFB, Maryland. Elisabeth was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, May 1990, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Miami University. Additionally, she earned a Master of Arts, National Security Strategy from the Naval War College (2004) and a Master of Science, Human Resources from Troy University (1998). Dr. Carol L. Folt serves as the twelfth president of the University of Southern California. She is a highly experienced leader, internationally recognized life scientist, and award-winning teacher. In leading USC, Dr. Folt brings broad executive and leadership experience across the academy, including arts and sciences, professional schools, and academic medicine. Throughout her career, Dr. Folt has earned a reputation for always placing students at the center, advancing academic excellence and innovation, setting ambitious goals, prioritizing shared governance, and focusing on the future. Prior to her appointment at USC in July 2019, Dr. Folt led the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – one of the nation’s most distinguished and research-intensive universities – from 2013 to 2019. Under her leadership, UNC was repeatedly named the No. 1 value in public higher education, surpassed $1 billion in annual research expenditures for the first time in school history (No. 5 in the nation overall), and set admissions records every year. Prior to her tenure at UNC, Dr. Folt served in various leadership roles at Dartmouth College, including as interim president, provost, dean of faculty, and Dartmouth Professor of Biological Sciences. An Akron, Ohio, native, Dr. Folt earned her bachelor’s degree in aquatic biology and a master’s degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her doctorate in ecology from the University of California, Davis, and did postdoctoral work at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station of Michigan State University. Colonel Don Christensen is the President of Protect Our Defenders (POD), a nonprofit human rights organization that is dedicated to ending rape and sexual assault in the military and to combating a culture of misogyny, sexual harassment, and retribution against victims. POD honors, supports, and gives voice to survivors of military sexual assault and sexual harassment – including service members, veterans, and civilians assaulted by members of the military. POD seeks to ensure all survivors and service members are provided a safe, respectful work environment and have access to a fair, impartially administered system of justice.
Prior to his work with Protect Our Defenders, Colonel Christensen served as a trial counsel, defense counsel and military judge during his 23-year military career. Between 2010-2014, Colonel Christensen served as Chief Prosecutor for the United States Air Force.
Colonel Christensen has served as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, Area Defense Counsel, Circuit Defense Counsel, Deputy Chief Circuit Defense Counsel, and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, as a deployed Staff Judge Advocate, Chief Circuit Trial Counsel, and Staff Judge Advocate and as a Military Judge. He has tried over 150 courts-martial as a trial and defense counsel and has presided over 100 trials as a military judge.
A third generation Air Force officer, he received his commission as a second lieutenant through ROTC and entered active service in 1991. Colonel Christensen has received numerous awards and decorations including the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.
He received his law degree from Marquette University Law School and is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.

Jennifer currently serves as the Executive Director of the Modern Military Association of America - the nation’s largest non-profit organization working to advance fairness and equality for the LGBTQ military and veteran community.

Lieutenant Colonel Jessica N. Ruttenber is the lead Planner and Programmer for Inter-theater Airlift and Air Refueling in the Mobility and Special Operations Panel, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. She also volunteers on the Department of the Air Force Barrier Analysis Working Group Women’s Initiative Team as an influential and authoritative advocate on topics that influence women’s propensity to serve the Air Force mission. Prior to this assignment she served at the Air National Guard Readiness Center as a Mobility Programmer and is currently serving as a Liaison Officer between the Air National Guard and Headquarters U.S.
Air Force. Lieutenant Colonel Ruttenber received her commission into
the Air Force from the ROTC program at the University of
Oklahoma in 2001. She entered service as a communications officer and later cross-trained to become a mobility pilot. She has served in a variety of cyber, flying,and staff assignments. As a KC-135R/T Formal Training Unit Evaluator and Instructor Pilot, OSS Director of Operations, Director of Staff, Executive Officer, Chief of Training, and Chief of Current Operations, Lieutenant Colonel Ruttenber has spearheaded global reach with worldwide mobility impact. Lieutenant Colonel Ruttenber commanded air refueling in support of Operations NOBLE EAGLE, IRAQI REEDOM, NEW DAWN, and ENDURING FREEDOM culminating in over 200 combat sorties and more than 1,049 combat hours. Lieutenant Colonel Ruttenber is a senior pilot with over 3,000 hours in the T-37B, T-1, KC-135R/T and C-21A.

Carrie Baker is the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the United States Space Force. In this role she serves as an advisor to the Commander and Senior Leaders.
She provides program oversight, guidance and support to over 10,000 space professionals and their families regarding diversity education and training, talent acquisition, professional development, community engagement, and the integration of policies and leading practices that move beyond traditional boundaries in talent management, in order to optimize diverse talent and promote an inclusive organizational culture across all Space Force installations and headquarters staff.
Carrie also serves as an adjunct faculty instructor at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute at Patrick Air Force Base. In 2019, Carrie was part of the leadership team that launched and delivered the US Air Force Academy’s inaugural unconscious bias training curriculum. The goal of the training is to share best practices concerning diversity and inclusion, and to enhance cadet leadership competencies through skill building and increased awareness, in preparation for their transition to active duty military officers.
Carrie received her Diversity Professional Practitioner certification from Cornell University, is a nationally Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), holds a PhD in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, an MSW from Southern Connecticut State University, and a BS from Central Connecticut State University.

Vice Admiral Fagan assumed command of the Coast Guard Pacific Area in June 2018 where she serves as the operational commander for all U.S. Coast Guard missions from the Rocky Mountains to the waters off the East Coast of Africa. She concurrently serves as Commander, Defense Force West and provides Coast Guard mission support to the Department of Defense and Combatant Commanders. Admiral Fagan has served on all seven continents, from the snows of Ross Island, Antarctica to the heart of Africa, from Tokyo to Geneva, and in many ports along the way. Meagan was raised in Pittsburgh, PA and is a 2002 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, with a Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Following graduation she reported to flight training and was designated a Naval Aviator in January 2004 and ordered to training in the F-14D Tomcat.
At the completion of her flight training, Meagan joined the BLACKLIONS of VF-213 and deployed the following year in support of OIF. After returning home from their deployment her squadron began a transition to the F/A-18F Super Hornet. She then served as the Air-to-Air Weapons Training Officer until her departure from the squadron in April of 2008.
From April of 2008 to 2010 Meagan served as Flag Aide to RADM Mark Boensel who was serving as Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic. Her following tour she was assigned to VFA-106 as an instructor pilot in both the Hornet and Super Hornet.
Meagan transitioned off of active duty in February 2013 and joined the Navy Reserves. She worked for a small defense contracting company as a program manager until January of 2016 when she was mobilized back onto active duty to support United States Fleet Forces Command as an individual augmentee operations support officer.
During her mobilization, Meagan was recruited by Amazon to join their Military Leaders Program that she joined in August of 2018 when she returned to the Navy Reserves. She worked in operations as a manager until April of 2019 when she joined Amazon Logistics as a Senior Operations Engineer setting the design standards used to build Amazon delivery stations.
When COVID-19 escalated in early 2020, she was hand selected to join the Amazon Logistics COVID-19 response team where she served as the communications lead for the North American network. She has since transitioned to a senior program manager role within Workplace, Health, and Safety.
Meagan lives in Whitefish, Montana where she enjoys the mountains with her husband, Paul, and their children, Mary (8), Finn (5), and Ewan (3).

Chief Ponder was born in Lancaster, South Carolina and entered the Navy in December 2008 at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Chicago. She attended Equipment Operator "A" School in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
In June 2009, she reported for duty to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Mississippi where she served as the Dispatcher, Project Supervisor, Yard Boss and License Examiner until January 2015. During her time with the Battalion, she assumed great responsibilities which lead to her being promoted to Second Class Petty Officer through the Command Advancement Program in December of 2012.
In January 2015, Chief Ponder expressed an interest in becoming a Legalman and began training at the RSLO Gulfport Branch Office. In March 2015, she served as the interim Legal Assistant for Naval Construction Group TWO, Gulfport, Mississippi. In September 2015, she was approved for conversion to Legalman.
In May 2016, Chief Ponder graduated with Honors from Naval Justice School, Newport, Rhode Island and later reported to USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75) in Norfolk, Virginia for her first tour as a Legalman.
Chief Ponder advanced to First Class Petty Officer in November of 2016 and assumed the role of Leading Petty Officer for the Legal Department. In February 2018, she was selected as the Judge Advocate's General Corps Legalman of the Year.
In December 2018, Chief Ponder reported to OPNAV and was assigned to the office of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy as his Congressional Liaison and Paralegal. In September 2019, she was frocked to Chief Petty Officer.
Chief Ponder has an Associate's Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Grantham University and an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from Roger Williams University.
Chief Ponder's awards and decorations include the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (5 awards), Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Volunteer Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal (3 awards).

Kristin Baker is currently a program manager at Amazon Web Services World Wide Public Sector Solutions Architecture. She graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1990, where she had the honor of being the first woman in the Academy’s history to serve as the Commander of Cadets. She earned a bachelor’s in engineering psychology and two master’s degrees from the National Intelligence University and the Army War College. Kristin completed 30 years in the Army serving world-wide as an intelligence officer. She began her career in Germany as a platoon leader for a unit operating cutting edge intelligence systems and later an air defense battalion senior intelligence officer. In this first tour she would deploy to the Middle East in support of Desert Storm. Kristin later returned to Germany for three years as Army Europe’s Counter-terrorism Chief. Kristin then served for three years in Hawaii managing intelligence operations in the Asia Pacific region. After graduating from the Army War College, Kristin was selected as the V Corps Senior Intelligence Officer, one of only four corps in the U.S. Army. In that role she would deploy to Afghanistan as both the Corps G2 and the Chief of Assessments, leading an international team assessing Afghanistan’s readiness for governance and security. Following deployment, Kristin was selected to lead the Joint Intelligence Operations Center-Europe, commanding over 1000 military, civilian, contractor, and reserve personnel providing critical intelligence to defense and national senior decision makers. Kristin’s awards include the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara, the Knowlton Award for Intelligence, two legions of merit, and two bronze stars. Kristin spent over 15 years of her career in overseas assignments; her deployments include the Middle East, Bosnia, and Afghanistan. She and her husband, also a recently retired Army officer, have three daughters: Cassie, 22; Ashley, 20; and Brenna, 17.

General (retired) Ellen M Pawlikowski is an independent consultant providing expertise on strategic planning, program management, logistics, and research and development. She is the Judge Widney Professor at the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California. She serves on the Boards of Directors for the Raytheon Company, Intelsat SA, Applied Research Associates, and SRI International.
Ellen Pawlikowski was the third woman to achieve the rank of General in the US Air Force. In her last assignment, she served as Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The command employs some 80,000 people and manages $60 billion annually, providing the Air Force with research and development, life cycle systems management, test and evaluation, installation support, depot maintenance and supply chain management.
She entered the Air Force in 1978 as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ. She then attended the University of California at Berkeley as a Fannie and John Hertz Foundation fellow and received a Doctorate in chemical engineering in December 1981.
General Pawlikowski's career has spanned a wide variety of technical management, leadership and staff positions. She commanded five times as a general officer, commanding the MILSATCOM Systems Wing, the AF element of the National Reconnaissance Office, AF Research Laboratory, the Space and Missile Systems Center, and Air force Materiel Command. She also served as the program director and program executive officer for several multibillion-dollar military-system acquisitions.
General Pawlikowski is nationally recognized for her leadership and technical management acumen. ?Among her recognitions are the Women In Aerospace Life Time Achievement Award, the NDIA’s Peter B Teets Award, and the Air Force Association Executive Management Award. She is a Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a member of the National Academy of Engineers.

LtCol Janine K. Garner is a 1999 graduate of Brigham Young University and flew KC-130s and KC-130Js. Captain Garner also completed two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was the Director of Safety and Standardization while serving as a Transport Plane Commander (TPC), Functional Check Pilot (FCP), and Assistant NATOPS Instructor (ANI). She served as the Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) Requirements Officer for the Navy and Marine Corps, until she was selected to the Office of Legislative Affairs in February 2012. She served as the Deputy Director of the Marine House Liaison Office of Legislative Affairs where she traveled and worked directly with Members of Congress and Professional Staff Members (PSMs) on a variety of issues, to include Marine Corps Total Force Integration, Sexual Assault Prevention (SAPR), and Diversity. Major Garner served as the Maintenance Officer of an over 300 Marine Maintenance Department and then led a 7 month, 4 plane, 87 Marine detachment in support of Special Purpose MAGTF-CR-AF and operations across EUCOM, AFRICOM, and CENTCOM. In 2016 Major Garner served as the Commanding Officer of PSD-14, the 140 Marine and Sailor headquarters company and then was selected to be a Strategic Analyst in the Commandant’s Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG) where her portfolio included Pilot Retention, Maintainer Retention, Gender integration and Retention, and the response to Marines United, among many things. She was selected for and completed a fellowship to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and then selected to be a member of OSD’s first Strategic Thinkers Program (STP) cohort and in 2020 graduated from The Johns Hopkins University: School of Advanced International Studied (SAIS). LtCol Garner is currently serving on the Joint Staff. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, and a Master of Arts and a Doctorate from University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Dr. Hunter’s research focuses on the intersection of social integration and military effectiveness, with a focus on gender and unconventional warfare.

Shellee Smith is the executive director of the USC Center for Third Space Thinking and Executive Education at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. At the Center, she leads a team of professionals that has developed a new, communication-driven methodology to help organizations frame and solve complex problems. Shellee is an experienced management and communication consultant, and has worked on both sides of the microphone, as an award-winning newscaster and a company spokesperson. Shellee has garnered the most prestigious awards in broadcast journalism, including seven Emmys, the Alfred duPont Columbia University Award, the George Foster Peabody Award, two national Edward R. Murrow Awards, an Iris Award, and an Investigative Reporters & Editors Award. Shellee earned two bachelor’s degrees in journalism and German Area Studies from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She also studied German at Trier University in Germany. She recently completed an Executive M.B.A. at the USC Marshall School of Business.

Dr. Jannell MacAulay is a combat veteran who served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, as a pilot, commander, special operations consultant, international diplomat, and professionalism instructor. With her innovative leadership style, she was the first leader to introduce mindfulness as a proactive performance strategy within the United States military.
She currently serves as a Leadership and Human Performance consultant for the Department of Defense, government sector, and corporate America. She is the co-founder of Warrior’s Edge, a high-performance mindset training program she developed with Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks and high-performance sports psychologist, Dr. Michael Gervais.
Dr. MacAulay is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, has a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. with work in the field of strategic health & human performance.
Dr. MacAulay is a TEDx speaker, military spouse, and mother of two, who is on a mission to help individuals excel in high-stress and rugged environments, by showing them how to lean into each moment to find their best selves.
