Keynote - LEADING EFFECTIVELY WITH HUMILITY, POWER, AND INFLUENCE
Lieutenant General, U.S. Army (Retired)

Lieutenant General, retired, Karen Gibson entered the Army in 1987, merely intending to fulfill a four-year active duty commitment with no expectation of a military career. She immediately fell in love with being a Soldier, however, and?culminated her 33-year career as a Lieutenant General and Deputy Director of National Intelligence for National Security Partnerships. A seasoned combat veteran, she deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, East Africa, and the broader Middle East and served four years in the Republic of Korea. Her professional highlights include positions as Director of Intelligence for U.S. Central Command; Director of Intelligence for Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, the multinational defeat-ISIS coalition; and Deputy Commanding General for U.S. Army Cyber Command.?These accomplishments pale in comparison to her pride in her family and her two adult children.
